Cost Accountant

When you join our team as a Cost Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring proper inventory valuation, process and transactional compliance, as well as providing necessary operational analysis around production variances and operational metrics for our St. Mary's and Tijuana locations. Essential Responsibilities Support multiple aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual financial close and reporting process as it relates to inventory and operational variances Ensure proper valuation of inventory, in line with Company financial policy Responsible for the planning and execution of the annual physical inventory Calculation of inventory reserves, and driving the processes to preclude excess and obsolete products Preparation of operational metrics, analysis and reporting of same to management Participate in cross functional process improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies Travel as necessary Participate in the training of others Understand and follow applicable Company practices, policies and procedures. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
